LIVE RADAR: Heavy rain moving through DFW, more expected overnight

Thunderstorms began moving through North Texas early Monday afternoon, and more are expected tonight.

Showers will spread in from the west this evening, with a few thunderstorms. A couple of strong storms are possible tonight, but the main severe risk looks to remain well to the west of DFW.

This storm system will provide an area with widespread showers and thunderstorms by Tuesday. Some storms could produce damaging winds and large hail.

These storms will bring heavy rain. A Flood Watch has been issued in anticipation of this event, with the possibility of 1 to 4 inches of rain. It will be in effect all day Tuesday.
