Governor Abbott signs school choice vouchers into law

It was his top priority and after several years of flexing his political muscles, Governor Greg Abbott signed SB 2, school choice vouchers, into law. By the 2026 school year, roughly 100,000 students will be able to use public school money for private and home schools.
