Two Southlake police officers were injured in unrelated crashes Monday afternoon, the department confirms.

Police said the first crash occurred along E. Southlake Boulevard near Olivia Court, east of White Chapel Boulevard, where a motorcycle officer responding to a fight-in-progress call got into a crash when another driver pulled out in front of the officer's motorcycle.

Video from Texas Sky Ranger showed a heavily damaged police motorcycle on its side in the middle of the road.

A second officer, who was in a Tahoe SUV, was involved in a secondary crash a block away when a vehicle failed to yield the right of way near Byron Nelson Parkway.

The motorcycle officer was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening. The second officer was treated and released with minor injuries.

Southlake police said both officers had their emergency lights and sirens activated when the crashes occurred.

No other injuries to other drivers were reported.
