A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Dallas, Collin and southern Tarrant counties until 4:15 p.m. Flash Flood Warnings are also in effect in Hood, Johnson and Somervell counties until 3:45 p.m.; in Jack and Wise counties until 4 p.m.; and in Ellis and northern Hill counties until 5 p.m.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of East Texas until 5 p.m. for areas north of I-20, while south of I-20 it will expire at 8 p.m. as severe storms move across North Texas.

Heavy rain will contribute to a threat of flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday for portions of north central and northeast Texas, including Dallas, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Collin, Cooke, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Jack, Montague, Wise, and Young.
