The suspect's grandmother told 온라인카지노사이트5 the property belonged to their family and McEuen had been staying there while awaiting trial.

By Monday afternoon, the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office said law enforcement ended their search because they believe McEuen has left the area. Officials added that they do not believe there is a threat to the public.

"It's like we're reliving everything all over again," said Elisandra Martinez, the sister of the victim, Aaron Martinez

The Martinez family was preparing to be in the courtroom on Tuesday once the jury had been selected. Monday's phone call that McEuen was gone has left them frustrated and in fear.

"We knew this was going to happen. We had a feeling. We said this multiple times," said Elisandra Martinez.

They worry their family will never see justice for their brother's death.

"We thought, finally, we might get some peace of heart. I mean we're never going to forget what happened, but at least peace of heart that the man that did this is paying for it," Martinez said.

Officials have not confirmed if McEuen is armed, but they urge residents not to attempt to apprehend him and report any sightings to authorities immediately.

The County Sheriff's Office is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of McEuen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office at 469-376-4500.

“Our number one priority is the safety of all citizens of Van Zandt County," Sheriff Kevin Bridger said. "We are working diligently with our partner agencies to ensure the safety of all our Citizens."

Kaufman County issued a warrant for Bail Revocation for Capital Murder for McEuen.

On May 1, 2023, deputies with the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office arrested Trevor McEuen after they said he shot and killed Aaron Martinez in a truck outside of his home. McEuen's bond was lowered from $2 million to $500,000 in 2023, after McEuen's attorney argued that the original amount of $2 million was excessive and oppressive.

McEuen was then arrested in September 2024 for violating the conditions of his bond. Court documents allege McEuen threatened members of the Martinez family and posted images of them on social media. A judge set his bond at $2 million dollars. He later bonded out.

Activists and his family have pushed prosecutors to charge McEuen with a hate crime, saying he harassed the Hispanic family.

Family representative and activist Carlos Quintanilla said the courts failed the Martinez family.

“The conditions that they put on him obviously were not sufficient enough to make assure that he would appear in court,” said Quintanilla.
