TEA releases grades of school districts
For the first time since the pandemic, Texas parents are able to compare how their child’s school and district compare to others around the state. TEA released their A-F grades of schools on Thursday. In Dallas ISD, 45 of the districts 232 schools scored a ‘D’ or an ‘F.’ In Fort Worth, 77 of the district’s 108 schools scored a ‘D’ or ‘F.’ Education reporter Wayne Carter dives into the data, and talks to school leaders, parents, and lawmakers about how to use it, all these years later.
